At 50 pounds, the Mt. Olympus burger sold at Clinton Station Diner in Clinton, N.J., is the largest hamburger sold in the world. Made with 25 pounds of beef, the burger goes for $99 and takes about an hour to cook. The diner’s owner Mike Zambas says that they sell at least one of the mega-burgers a week but, despite the $1,000 prize, no one has had the stomach to eat it all.

History of Rabbit
Found in several parts of the world, rabbits are small mammals belonging to the leporidae family. The rabbits have had long history of association with the humans. Their history dates back to 3000 BC, when the Phoenician sailors discovered these animals in a place, which they called ‘the land of the seraphs’.
The Romans consumed rabbit meat extensively. Especially Roman soldiers were fed rabbit meat. They had even built rabbit enclosures known asleporaria.
Rabbits in Middle Ages
During the middle ages, the monasteries started keeping rabbits as pets. It is recorded that rabbits were exchanged by monasteries between Germany and France in 1194. Domestication of the first European wild rabbit took place at the same time. It is also said that Middle age women of the feudal gentry domesticated the rabbits.
13th century Britain witnessed the launch of these animals on its soil for the very first time. Soon rabbits gained popularity among the British. It is said that by the 16th century, King Henry VIII owned a leporaria large enough to actually hunt around. Queen Elizabeth is known to have maintained ‘rabbit islands’, which were atolls in lakes and rivers where rabbits could flourish. Today there exist over 800 rabbit islands in the oceans and lakes all over the world.
Spread of Rabbits
During the 17th and 18th centuries, the world explorers took the European rabbit to the other parts of the world. Rabbits were brought to Australia by Captain Cook during the 1770s. The Industrial Revolution brought more and more people into the urban areas. People started keeping rabbits as pets as it gave them a sense of being connected to the country. Gradually rabbit selling gained importance as rabbit owners promoted their wares by associating rabbits with children and innocence.
Rabbits in the twentieth century
Breeding rabbits became a popular activity at the turn of the 20th century. Breeding clubs were formed including the American Rabbit Breeding Association which now recognizes 45 official rabbit breeds. Consumption of rabbit meat became popular during the two world wars. Governments across countries encouraged to raise rabbits to help feed soldiers. In 1944, 28 million rabbits were raised in United States alone. However, after the war, the demand for rabbit meat gradually declined.
The mid 20th century saw a murkier side of rabbit history. Absence of natural predators resulted in the multiplication of rabbits at an alarming rate turning them into agricultural pests. Australia is best known for rabbit overpopulation It is against the law to own a pet rabbit in the Australian state of Queensland. The late 20th century saw scientific experiments being carried out on rabbit. In 1992, the rabbit was the second animal to be successfully cloned.
Rabbits in culture
Much loved animals, time and again rabbits have been referred to across various cultures worldwide. They were seen as paradoxical creatures symbolizing intelligence and foolishness, femininity and androgyny, cowardice and courage, raging sexuality to absolute virginity. In some cultures, the hare is associated with the moon. In Greco-Roman myth, the hare represents love and abundance.
Christianity holds the rabbit in a less favorable light. In Christianity rabbits are often associated with witches. However despite such views, rabbits could be spotted in many Renaissance paintings such as Titian’s Madonna with Rabbit(1530).
Rabbits in literature
Moving on to literature, rabbits and hares have appeared in several classics. The best known in this category is the Tale of Peter Rabbit by the British author Beatrix Potter. The White Rabbit and March Hare are two popular characters from Lewis Carol’s classic Alice in Wonderland. In films and cartoon, Bugs Bunny happens to be the best known rabbit trickster till date.

The family settled in Rawalpindi after her birth. Her grandmother named her Zahida, but her family insisted on keeping Veena as her first name
.

Before starting her career as an actress, Veena Malik worked as a comedian for several TV shows and series. Veena started her career with the film industry in Lahore, the home of Lollywood. She was meet to Mukhtar Ahmed and Jarar Rizvi, who landed her a role in the epic Pakistani film Tere Pyar Mein. By the end of the year, she was already being considered for other such projects when she became a part of a growing scandal. She won her first Lux Style Award for being the most stylish celebrity on the red carpet.

Veena Malik has mostly been cast as a supporting actor. In 2002 she was called by Prime TV to host a show called Prime Gupshup for them ushering a new direction for her comedic skills and she improvised on the hour-long show occasionally mimicking actors. She also hosted the Geo TV show Hum Sub Umeed Say Hain, in which she was hailed for her comedic parodies. Now a days she is an anchor of a popular Dunya TV show “Miss Dunya”.

She currently resides in Karachi. Early in 2008, rumours of her suffering a heart-attack were revealed to be exaggerations, and she was diagnosed instead with a mildly serious form of tachycardia. She is very inn in Media for her Scandals with Babrak Shah and recently with Pakistani Cricketer Mohammad Asif.

Interview

In the Vanity Fair Meera even made threatening phone calls to me saying that she would throw acid on my face. She is too jealous of me but I am not afraid of her, says Veena Malik.

The beauty from Rawalpindi, Veena Malik, joined the film industry five years ago. Like hundreds of other glamour world dreamers, she came to the tinsel town with dreams unlimited. Her dreams came true when she met the likes of Mukhtar and Jarar Rizvi, the-fresh-faces promoters.

Her career is marked with scandals such as that of nude photo shoots, her romance with her secretary, the ravaging rivalry she ran with her show-town colleague Meera, and her much talked about Indian visit to perform in a Punjabi Indian flick 'Pind Di Kuri' to be released on December 31.

In an hour-long chitchat, she shared her anguish over her negative coverage in the Urdu print media. She was also touchy on the indifferent attitude of Pakistani filmmakers. Her annoyance to Meera could well be felt whom she considers an evil-schemer.

About her nude photo shoots circulating on the Internet, annoyed Veena said, "The photo-shoot you are mentioning is the part of anti-Veena campaign by my opponents in the film industry. I never went for a nude-shoot. Those are fake pictures. I am not bothered about them since those are not my photographs. I know there is a striking resemblance between the girl in those snaps and me but just resemblance takes us nowhere."

Regarding her much buzzed about Indian flick 'Pind Di Kuri' and Urdu print media's harsh criticism on it the lass said, "Pind the Kuri was an asset project. It was a great experience. The Indian cinema is too professional. Contrary to the Indian filmmakers, most of the Pakistani film taskmasters are not that professional.

Look, I went there because they invited me. I did not plead for the role. But Urdu print media pissed me off by throwing all kind of dirt on me through their yellow journalism. I had almost been declared a traitor. Earlier too, Pakistani singers and actors have performed in India, what's so special about me?"

About the releasing date of the film and her role in the film the actress said: "The film would hit the Indian cinema scene on New Year eve, December 31. Sadly, it cannot sizzle on Pakistani silver screen due to the certain policies of the government.

When of recent, Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi visited India, my film producer Iqbal Dhiloon requested him to release the film in Pakistan as well. But things still seem to be uncanny. I am playing the lead in the film pairing with Sarbajit Cheema, who is also the folk singer of India."

About bold scenes in the film, she said: No, I did not. I was asked for some hot scenes in minis and swimsuits, but I plainly said, NO. I am a Pakistani girl. I know my limits. They were nice people; they did not insist me after my refusal.
The team, I worked with in the film had Sakhwant Dhadda, as its director, music is composed by the hero of the film Sarbajit and the choreographer is Pappu Khana. I am lucky enough that I did a good film in India.

Her mentor Jarar Rizvi sometime ago asked her to drop her last name to become fortunate in show town, she hasn't but still she is doing well in Lollywood. "Yes, Jarar Sahib asked me to drop my last name but honestly speaking I have already become so famous as Veena Malik that I see no reason to follow Mr Rizvi's advice. In a way his myth, in giving numerous names to actresses, as to turn them lucky in the glamour world has stopped functioning anymore.

Why you and Meera are rivals?
"Infact, we two resemble each other a lot. When I crossed the threshold of the film industry, she was in a strong position. Her secretary Mukhtar did wonders for her as he helped her signing a number of heavy budget films.

Somehow or other, Mukhtar and I developed some kind of understanding and he left Meera and joined me as my secretary. I, with the help of Mukhtar, managed to sign 12 projects in one go. Meera felt so insecure that she started hatching conspiracies against me.

She even made threatening phone calls to me saying that she would throw acid on my face. She is too jealous of me but I am not afraid of her.

Her films in the pipeline?
"I have signed two mega budget films. One is Ajab Gul's 'Kiun Tum Say Itna Piyar Hai' and the other 'Koie Tujh Sa Kahan'.

A year and half ago, Veena used to live in a small house in Johar Town and now she has a bungalow in Defence?
I planned to live alone at my Johar Town residence. But it was a mohallah and people kept a strict vigil on my activities.

The male section of the locality was more curious and they often stood near my house when I came late from studios. It was an awfully odd situation for me. So, I decided to move to a reasonable place, a place free of interferences.

My elder sister and her husband live in Pindi. I talked to them and finally we two sisters bought a bungalow in Defence, now she lives with me. I bought my Defence residence after selling out my Johar Town residence and my sister also has her share of money in it.

Sana

Acting career

She started her career as television actress. A relative of her mother, Shafique Hussain (an assistant producer of PTV) introduced her. Though her debut film, Jannat Ki Talash (1999), did not find success; her second film, Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa (2002) brought her fame and stardom. Her other successful films include Kyun Tumse Itna Pyar Hai (2005) and Kaafila (2007), which have consolidated her as one of the top actresses in the film industry.

Personal life

Sana married film actor Fakhar Imam in Lahore on December 13, 2008.

Interview

Sana on her new movie, man and mindset
A new film, a new body, a new man and a new attitude, whatever happens in the future, 2008 is unlikely to be the year Sana will forget. For this year is liable to be the most significant for her professional as well as personal life. Javed Sheikh's long-awaited magnum opus, Khulay Aasman ke Neechay finally hit the theatres and the buzz was tangible.

Sana's look was glamorous and her character hard-hitting. The Sheikh-Sana pairing has always been a success whether it was in the average Mujhay Jeenay Do or the spectacular Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa, which went on to become the biggest hit of all times.

So with KAKN, expectations were high as well. And on the personal front, her engagement to Lollywood stud, Fakhar Imam, will end in a grand wedding by the end of this year, even though her involvement with Javed Sheikh and recently, Emraan Hashmi, became tabloid fodder, instigating media frenzy. Sana put an end to all the vicious tongue wagging and chose Imam as her man for life. Atta girl, Sana! What a retort to all the fabricated scandals. So, 2008 belongs to Sana.

Be it the rain-drenched mutyaar strutting her stuff in the raunchy "Paindi Aey Barsaat Wey" in Humayun Gujjar in Bari Studios or the sari clad sophisticated girl singing "Tum Milay Jab Se" in Ye Dil Aap ka Huwa, Sana is at ease with all the characters she has played over the years.

She is one of the few film divas who have successfully survived in the industry sans being involved in petty politics, cutting and scheming. Whatever she says makes sense. She is not painfully uncouth like the rest of her contemporaries and her conversation lacks the vulgar abuse which is regularly employed by most of the Lollywood leading ladies.

She is the only heroine who is bankable other than Saima and a safe bet at the box-office. Plus she has a reputation of minding her own business. If that doesn't make her unique, I don't know what else would.

I remember meeting Sana in 1995, her debut year. There she was, quietly stashed up in a private corner of Syed Noor's glass room in Sangam, her first film. Politeness knew no bounds and silence was at its best. Co-star Shaan (being a typical Casanova) was trying his best to titillate the new starlet (old habits die hard), but the newcomer was adamant and would not succumb.

SanaI knew Sana was a star even before she had given her first shot. She was always ambitious and passionate about her work and eventually she catapulted to immense fame. Senior contemporary, Reema, predicted stardom for Sana the same year in an interview she gave to me for an English daily stating that out of all the newcomers, Sana will do the best and will achieve success slowly but steadily. And so she did, as she quietly made inroads into the mainstream Lollywood.

As she entered my studio for the shoot and interview, I was astounded to see a slimmer Sana. And even though she could still shed a few more pounds, her figure is fit for a film diva. My first question was obviously about her recently acquired slim status, and she eagerly replied, All credit actually goes to Fakhar.

He's a fitness freak and inspired me to shed the extra kilos. We enjoy working out together and it's become a routine for us to go to the gym daily. Hmm And that's not the only change that her fiance has brought about in her life. Sana has also become a heavy bike rider, something Fakhar loves doing, and he has a collection of heavy bikes which they both ride every now and then for fun.

Oh my goodness, the young man is already bringing about positive changes in her life. But then, she being a film diva and he a novice, how did the two meet, when did Cupid strike, and they decide to spend their lives with each other? Sana shies and smiles, I did a few films with him.

We were not paired together but did have scenes together. So we met on the sets and as I got to know him better, I discovered his good side and soon we got along like a house on fire. As the meetings continued in various rendezvous, we eventually fell in love and decided to tie the knot.

So is she all excited and geared for a lavish wedding this year? After all, our film industry needs some happy moments in this sad state of affairs. Sure, she said. I would love to have a big wedding with friends and family. It has to be the event of the year. I am so happy and so is he and we have not hidden anything from anybody, so we will have a blast. That's great. But will she continue her film career after the wedding? See, I have not decided as yet, she confirmed. Fakhar has no issue, my in-laws are extremely cooperative.

It is up to me what I do. I might or might not. But isn't it difficult to leave the limelight and glamour, I asked. I have achieved whatever I wanted to, she said. I have seen the peak of my career; I have fame, money and success. What else is there? I am lucky that I have come across such a gentleman to be my life partner. So why shouldn't I settle down? After all, every girl wants to do that eventually.
